Business Development Manager
Location: South-East England (Field-Based)
Salary: £50,000–£70,000 + Commission + Car Allowance

About the Company
Our client is an international supplier of construction materials is expanding into the UK market and is seeking a driven and experienced Field Sales Manager lead its UK sales operations. The company has a strong reputation overseas and is now investing in building its UK presence.
The Role
This is a client-facing, field-based role where you’ll be responsible for developing and executing the UK sales strategy, managing the full sales lifecycle, and building relationships with key players in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive B2B sales of construction materials across the UK
- Meet clients on-site, at offices, and at industry events
- Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing, and account management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, distributors, and developers
- Collaborate with international HQ to align on product offerings and logistics
- Represent the company at trade shows and networking events
- Contribute to future team building and leadership as the UK operation grows
About You
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in the construction sector
- Proven success in field sales roles with strong client-facing experience
- Deep understanding of the UK construction market and supply chain
- Strong network of industry contacts
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and confident working independently
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience selling wholesale goods is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in developing and executing sales strategies
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for business growth
- Experience with CRM tools and sales performance tracking
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision

The Role
This is a 360 Recruitment role, the client has well established relationships you can leverage business from. You will client-facing building relationships with key stake holders as well as sourcing experienced candidates and guiding them through the interview process. Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their hiring needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Identify, attract, and assess top talent through various channels including job boards, social media, and networking.
- End-to-End Recruitment Process: Manage the full recruitment cycle from job briefing, advertising, interviewing, and shortlisting to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Market Research & Networking: Stay updated on industry trends and actively network to expand the candidate and client base.
- Performance & Target Achievement: Meet and exceed individual and team recruitment targets while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
About you
You will be an ambitious self-starter with a passion for DE&I and have experience recruiting for one of the following industries: Professional Services, Financial Services, Banking, Projects & Change or Tech.
